Kindergarten Section

The section comprises the Nursery, the Lower Kindergarten (LKG) and the Upper Kindergarten (UKG) classes.

The key emphasis at the Kindergarten section is FOUNDATIONS.

The curriculum offered at this stage is transdisciplinary and is built to nurture and hone the natural curiosity of children. All the activities and events that are planned during this stage helps to awaken wonder about the created world, develop and hone leadership skills among students, help students be reflective about themselves and their actions, and to help students be confident and innovative.

Some of the activities that happen through the year

Kindergarten Graduation

At HIS, we celebrate milestones. The Kindergarten Graduation is a time of celebrating the growth of our young superstars – from just getting started at school to becoming experienced learners.

Grandparents Day

Grandparents and grandchildren share a special bond. At HIS, we celebrate this bond every year on grandparents day. The grandparents of the students are invited to school for a fun-filled day of events, games and activities.

Kindergarten Sports Day

The students of kindergarten get to learn sportsmanship, discipline and teamwork, in a fun and joyful environment. The HIS Kindergarten Sports Day is a much anticipated event each year where parents come to school and cheer on their little ones to do their best at various sporting events.

Pet Day

One of the aims of education is to help students explore and understand the world around them. As part of this, we celebrate pet day each year. Students get to bring their pets to school (accompanied by their parents). This gives them an opportunity to interact with different animals and gain an insight into one of the ways we humans relate with nature around us. The pet day is a highly exciting event for the students as well as the teachers of Kindergarten.
