History
The HIS story began in the year 2014. Change to Our HIStory..

Chapter 1: Humble Beginnings (2014-2016)
The school began with prayer as its foundation in July of 2014. It was a small beginning. There were only 10 students and a handful of staff. The school had a homeschooling type of environment, with a multi-grade concept (different grades were taught by a single teacher).
Though the beginnings were small, it started seeing incredible growth right from the beginning. By the end of that single year, there were 27 students β a growth of more than 200%.
The multi-grade concept continued for two years. The pioneering spirit was evident in all β with teachers, parents and students all working together through this time. One example of such teamwork was evident during the sports day in November 2015. While the field was covered with cow dung, teachers, students and parents all worked together to clean the ground for the events.
The school hit a milestone in the year 2016 when it received recognition from Cambridge International Education.

Chapter 2: Growth (2016-2020)
With the Cambridge recognition, the school entered a new phase of its existence. The number of students and staff continued to grow, which necessitated the phasing out of the multi-grade concept.
The celebration of various events at HIS continued to add life and colour to each year. The International Cultural Week was celebrated. Parents organised a food festival, HIS Annual Day, and Kindergarten graduation were some of the events that began to be celebrated. They continue to remain keystone events of the school year.
A new building was constructed in the academic year 2017-18. In fact it was completed within 6 months. All through this time, the classes continued to go on as usual.
HIS achieved a significant milestone in the year 2019-20 by placing 3rd in the first Basel Mission choir competition in which the school participated.

Chapter 3: Lockdown and into the unknown (2020-2022)
Covid struck in the year 2020 and the world was plunged into the unknown.
Online classes became a necessity due to the circumstances. And yet, with increasing challenges, the school saw even greater ingenuity and creativity by both the teachers and students. Some of the best work was seen during this period of online school.

Chapter 4: Back to School and the story goes onβ¦
From a beginning of 10 students, today HIS has more than 350 students and 35 staff. The beginnings were small, but the story is great because the story is not ours. It is HIS.
